A storefront you own, on the AWS account you already have.

What You Run on AWS Amplify

FatLeon Commerce 1.2.0 runs in an AWS account you control. These are the services the shop uses, and the accounts that stay outside it.

FatLeon Commerce 1.2.0 is a shop you deploy. It runs as a Next.js 14 standalone app on AWS Amplify Hosting, in an AWS account you control. FatLeon does not operate that shop. The license you buy on this site is a separate checkout: Paddle.com is the merchant of record for that order.

Services in your AWS account

The same codebase ships with Standard and Agency. This is what that deploy uses.

ServiceWhat it does for the shop
Amplify HostingRuns the Next.js standalone app: storefront and admin
CognitoSign-in for shoppers and admin
AppSyncThe API
DynamoDBShop data
LambdaBackend work behind the API
S3 and CloudFrontFiles and delivery

The storefront is React 18 and MUI, with next-intl for languages. It includes brands, categories, tags, variants, cart, wishlist, checkout after sign-in, coupons, and promotions. Orders have a status machine and multi-parcel shipping. Admin covers catalog, inventory, site settings, support tickets, and a simple analytics overview. Referrals, blog posts, and banners live in the same system.

Accounts that are not the AWS bill

Mail goes through SMTP you set in Admin. Shopper payments use Mock, Stripe, or PayPal. All three stay off until you enable one. Those payment accounts are yours. The kit does not call Stripe or PayPal to refund on its own: you approve a return in Admin, then refund in the provider dashboard. That limit is spelled out in what version 1.2.0 leaves out.

Buying the license is also outside this account. That payment is on this site, with Paddle.com as the merchant of record.

What you can change

You may modify the source, keep a private git, use AI tools, and include your team. A public repository or file share that exposes the source to people who are not licensed is not allowed. The grant is in the license file in your zip (v2.2). A short reading is on Terms of Service.

How this differs from renting a hosted shop is in a source-code license and a hosted shop. A running demo is at live.fatleon.com. Docs are at docs.fatleon.com.
